In response to popular demand, two additional day classes (life and portrait) were added to the curriculum Courses given here are arranged along two main lines of commercial and fine arts. In these courses the first year is devoted to general art training and after that the students may specialize according to their own bent. In the same interview, he expressed his ideas about art instruction: I have no set system and no theories. One can't have in art, for artists must be individuals.
